Depp dusts off Captain Jack's hat and brings a little bit of pirate magic to a young fan's life.

Johnny Depp is back as Captain Jack Sparrow in a new video that's sure to put a smile on your face. The actor recorded this special message for a young fan named Kori, who's been a big fan of Depp's work for years.

Kori is an 11-year-old boy who's undergone several heart transplants and is currently receiving palliative care. As part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation's charity program, Depp recorded a video message for Kori to help fulfill his dream of meeting the actor and becoming a YouTube star.

In the video, Depp calls Kori "Captain Kori" and wishes him luck in navigating the vast world of YouTube. Depp also promises to follow Kori's channel and even recruit his friends to subscribe. But Depp admits that he doesn't know much about the Internet, which makes sense considering that his character Jack Sparrow is clueless about modern technology.

Fans were understandably delighted to get another chance to see Depp as Jack Sparrow.

"Just when I gave up on the fact that I'd ever see him again as Captain Jack, he jumps up as Captain Jack out of nowhere, unbelievable... You are amazing, Mr. Depp, and thank you to whoever standing after this channel for posting those 2 minutes of confusion and joy," as one of the fans put it.

As for Depp's future in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, it's still unclear. There have been rumors that Disney is planning to bring Depp back for Pirates of the Caribbean 6, especially after he won a libel case against his ex-wife Amber Heard earlier this year. And with the Pirates spin-off starring Margot Robbie being put on hold for now, there's a chance that Disney might decide to revive it with Depp at the helm. Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow will always be a fan favorite.
