Rumors about a romance between Foster and Jackman started circulating in December 2023. According to In Touch, it was no secret in the Broadway community that the two were in love. They really got close on the set of The Music Man.

The Music Man is about a con man (Jackman) who poses as a band leader to scam small-town folks into buying band instruments and uniforms. But things get complicated when he falls for the local librarian (Foster).
