Do they end up together in Extraordinary Attorney Woo? It takes a cat analogy from Jun-ho to settle it
Woo Young-woo breaks up with Lee Jun-ho two episodes before the end because she's sure she can't make him happy. He wins her back with a metaphor about cats, and she accepts by correcting it.
Yes, they end up together. Extraordinary Attorney Woo ran 16 episodes on ENA and Netflix from June 29 to August 18, 2022, and the finale, which drew 17.5% nationwide per Wikipedia's Nielsen table, puts Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin) and Lee Jun-ho (Kang Tae-oh) back together after an episode 14 breakup.
The reconciliation takes one car ride and one bad analogy. It happens in episode 16, on the way to the biggest hearing of the season.
Why Young-woo broke up with him
The breakup at the end of episode 14 isn't about how she feels. Young-woo tells Jun-ho she likes him but doesn't think she can make him happy, Dramabeans recaps. He answers that being with her makes him happy. Then she asks whether he has never felt lonely with her, and he doesn't have an answer.
That silence is the whole problem. Young-woo, who reads facts better than faces, treats it as evidence and acts on it.
The cat analogy
Episode 16 puts them in a car together, stuck in traffic on the way to the National Assembly for CEO Tae Su-mi's confirmation hearing. Jun-ho tells Young-woo he doesn't want to break up and describes their relationship as unrequited love between a cat and its owner: a cat can make its owner lonely, and it can also make its owner happy.

Young-woo's answer is to correct him. The comparison is inappropriate, she says, because cats love their owners too. Then she tells him she wants to stay together as well, and gets out of the car with a small smile.
For a lawyer who corrects everyone's facts, saying "cats love their owners too" is the most Woo Young-woo way possible to say she loves him back.
The final scene
The series ends on an ordinary morning, per Marymekpop's finale recap:
- The commute: Young-woo rides the subway with whale sounds in her headphones, imagining a sperm whale swimming alongside dolphins.
- The door: At Hanbada, she gets through the revolving door on her own, using the one-two-three rhythm Jun-ho taught her.
- The lobby: Jun-ho is waiting and calls her name, and she finally names the feeling she's been trying to identify all season: fulfillment.
The revolving door is the show's best callback. Early on, it was the thing she couldn't get through without help. In the last scene, she does it alone and Jun-ho is simply there when she comes out.
"Every once in a while, we get gems like this."

What about season 2?
ENA confirmed a second season on August 17, 2022, the day before the finale, with 2024 as the target. 2024 came and went. In June 2023, production company ASTORY said "nothing has yet been decided" and that the casting of Park Eun-bin and Kang Tae-oh was still open, per Soompi.

In January 2026, reports said the season had entered pre-production, with writer Moon Ji-won on the script and Park returning, per Wion. Kang Tae-oh's return hasn't been reported. Season 1 settled the couple with a cat analogy, and season 2 still has to confirm the owner.
