Everything You Need to Know About 'Industry' Season 5: Release Date, Plot & More
The fifth season promises to be a fitting conclusion to the story.
Industry, a gripping drama about the worlds of high finance, politics, and class inequality, is coming to an end. The fifth and final season is expected to air in 2027, concluding the story arcs of the main characters.
The show was renewed for a final season on February 25, 2026, while Season 4 was still airing. As the episodes continued to air, they gained popularity, averaging 30% more views than Season 3.
We'll tell you everything we know about Season 5 of Industry.
When Will 'Industry' Season 5 Be Released?

The exact release date for Season 5 has not yet been announced, and the creators haven't provided an estimated premiere date either. IMDb lists the release dates for the season as "2020-2027," which suggests that the finale won't air until after 2026.
Additionally, there has been no announcement that production has begun. Currently, it is only known that showrunners Mickey Down and Konrad Kay are working on a script.
Season 5 is expected to premiere in late 2027 or early 2028. The number of episodes hasn't been revealed, but the creators will likely stick to tradition – the first four seasons each had eight episodes.
In an interview, Down emphasized that the creators have a clear vision for the finale and know how the story will end.
What Will 'Industry' Season 5 Be About?

Although the plot of the fifth season is being kept under wraps, showrunner Mickey Down noted that the creators already have a plan for how to wrap up the story arcs. He also clarified that real-life events, such as politics, are influencing the plot as well.
However, the final season won't be a political treatise – the writers will continue to focus on the characters' personal dramas rather than making grand political statements.
Kit Harington, who plays Henry Muck, believes that his character's story with Yasmin will end in the final season:
“It's done, I think. It's really deeply sad, because they did actually have some sort of love there. That's what Marisa and I were playing at, investigating and pushing.
It wouldn't be interesting if they weren't really in love, and it was purely a partnership of convenience. They ran fast, but it's clear they're not the people for each other.”
We will also probably see the finale of Henry and Yasmin's careers. In the fourth season, they found themselves at the center of a scandal involving the Tender company.
What Happened in 'Industry' Season 4?
In Season 4, Henry tried his hand at politics but lost the election, turning to alcohol and drugs for solace. He and Yasmin were approached by Whitney Halberstram, the CFO of the payment processing startup Tender. Halberstram offered to invest in Henry's company.
Henry became Tender's CEO, and Yasmin took charge of PR. Meanwhile, Harper, convinced that Tender's history was flawed, sought out seemingly perfect companies in her new job – she uncovered their problems and shorted their stock.
This conflict laid the groundwork for the finale. Amidst corporate infighting, the characters continued to grapple with their own demons: Henry struggled with addiction, Yasmin with the consequences of a traumatic past, and Harper with guilt and loneliness.
