The series may bring the fan-favorite classic plot to the screens.

Summary:

  • For Fallout, Prime Video ’s brand new series based on a famous game franchise of the same name, it took only 5 days to become a major hit and, though nothing about the second season has been confirmed, some particular scenes in season 1 may have already confirmed that the series is to be continued.
  • The show follows the plot of the game and captures the post-apocalyptic United States where one specific location for the future season has been hinted at.
  • Despite the fact that Fallout’s cinematic future isn’t determined yet, the show’s immense success may require much less time for the very anticipated announcement than usual.

It’s been only five days since Fallout, the post-apocalyptic drama series based on the worldwide famous game franchise and starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Kyle MacLachlan, got its official release on Prime Video, but the fans are already craving for more.

Though nothing has yet been confirmed about a potential season 2, some have been attentive enough to see unambiguous hints in the final episode — and they may also mean the plot’s turn to a very much awaited game location.

The game initially explores the post-apocalyptic world after a nuclear war swept everything in the United States — and Fallout’s horizons are quite wide for players to get relocated to various places across the country.

Over the course of almost 3 decades of its existence, the franchise has expanded to numerous parts of the game as well as to its spin-offs, but for many one of the most beloved parts remains Fallout: New Vegas which takes place in still flamboyant, yet dystopian Las Vegas.

Though the fan-favorite game’s plot didn’t get its cinematic debut in the brand new series, it may still have chances to — and here comes the spoiler alert.

The episode 8 of Fallout’s first season captures Hank MacLean, portrayed by Kyle McLachlan, being exposed for his role in the nuclear destruction of California and thus escaping Los Angeles through a desert towards some other city which, as those who are familiar with the United States’ map will grasp, none other than Las Vegas. The already major hint is also complemented by The Strat tower looming on the horizon.

If Fallout's second season indeed happens anytime soon, the show will thus introduce much more exciting game characters or at least plot twists.

Though season 1 has been out for less than a week, the show’s stunning popularity probably won’t make fans wait too long till season 2 (or even more) is announced.
