With Doctor Who about to return to our screens and The Winchesters preparing to come out of hiatus, there is only one show that needs to be brought back from limbo.

After all these years, there are still people who believe in Superwholock — a massive dream of a crossover between Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock. The belief is so strong that some fans see what they think are hints in the new Supernatural prequel, The Winchesters, which is currently on hiatus.

According to Redditor LilacMess658, the prequel's main villain, the Akrida, is giving off some Doctor Who vibes. While some may think that's a stretch, the Akrida are actually a "malevolent force" and "a monster not of this world" that keeps trying to invade Earth. Sounds like something the Time Lord could really help deal with.

"The Doctor traveled through time and space to give John that note so he could help save Earth from the Akrida. Guys, we're 2/3 of the way to our SuperWhoLock dream," the Redditor continued.

The identity of the person who gave John the letter that basically guided him into the world of hunting remains a mystery. Some think it's Castiel, but when it comes to time travel, the Doctor is definitely someone who knows better...

Such fan theories are balancing between seriousness and jokes, but with both Supernatural and Doctor Who making their way back to screens, it was only natural for them to re-emerge. And while it's highly unlikely that The Winchesters will be connected to Doctor Who in any way, we can only imagine the hype if the creators of Sherlock decide to bring back the famous consulting detective.
