Ghost Rider, portrayed by Gabriel Luna, can be a fresh breath of air for Marvel.

When it comes to superhero franchises, there's always some debate about who should play which character, and who fans would love to see make a comeback.

While many die-hard fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would die to see Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Evans back in the game, a recent Reddit discussion took a moment to remember a less familiar face, yet absolutely deserving to come back.

We are talking about Gabriel Luna, who played Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. While it’s not even clear if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is still part of the MCU canon, fans are super excited about the idea of him returning to the role.

Luna portrayed the Ghost Rider also known as Robbie Reyes, while Nicolas Cage portrayed Johnny Blaze in the Ghost Rider movie and its sequel. While Nicolas Cage is a legend for many, very few fans want to see his Ghost Rider in the MCU.

Luna’s Ghost Rider was a standout in the fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Luna's portrayal of Robbie, a high school student who gets killed in a street race and then resurrected as Ghost Rider, was seriously impressive.

He wasn't just a spirit of vengeance, but also a reluctant hero. Fans totally fell for this fresh take on Ghost Rider.

Luna's performance was so good that it got people talking about a standalone Ghost Rider movie or series. Imagine Luna back in the saddle, lighting up the screen with his flaming chain.

Gabriel Luna has also been making waves with his role as Tommy Miller in the HBO series The Last of Us. Tommy's a former soldier and the younger brother of the main character, Joel.

Luna's portrayal of Tommy has won him even more fans. He's managed to make Tommy both relatable and compelling, showing off his range as an actor. This has got fans even more excited about the idea of him returning to the MCU.

Maybe that’s exactly what MCU needs right now — a good old antihero, and Ghost Riders is the perfect choice.
