Everything is a reference if you want it badly enough.

No matter what you think of Supernatural, you can hardly deny its huge cultural impact on... well, pretty much anything. It would be weird for a 15-year-long show to never leave its mark, but the way Supernatural references can be spotted in the most unexpected of places is just amazing.

It turns out that Ted Lasso, Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters, Gilmore Girls ( well of course), The Boys, MCU, and plenty of other beloved shows and movies could not help but make an homage to Supernatural.

Don't believe us? Well, you should definitely check out an edit made by Supernatural Conventions YouTuber, which proves that literally anything can be a Supernatural reference if you are attentive — and nerdy — enough.

Seriously, did Percy Jackson just quote John Winchester? And what, is Luke a Supernatural fan also? Oh, it also looks like Castiel has a hobby we never knew about — luckily, Lucifer revealed that it is singing (and many people need a break from it).

Some of the references might seem like a stretch, while others are most definitely an homage, because we refuse to believe that Erik Kripke did not know what he was doing with that Robert Singer Easter egg in The Boys.

To be fair, Supernatural itself is stuffed with multiple references and nods to pop culture, which is a pleasure to unpack as you give the iconic show yet another re-watch.

Supernatural aired on The CW from 2005 to 2020, wrapping up after 15 seasons. However, the family business still lives in the prequel, titled The Winchesters, with its eighth episode set to return on screens on January 24.
