Marvel's beloved rag tag crew of space outlaws will get a long-awaited threequel in 2023, and given the departure of both Gunn and Dave Bautista from the franchise after that, many believe the team's story will end there. However, with new characters such as Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) and Phyla-Vell (Daniela Melchior) joining the MCU in the upcoming film, fans' hopes for a continuation of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' story are not yet fading.
And it seems that the news of the disbandment of the space superhero team was a bit exaggerated, to say the least. A well-known insider leaked an outline of the film's finale on Twitter, saying that the new team will be introduced by the end of the picture, with Star-Lord remaining the leader. It feels like Chris Pratt isn't going anywhere in the near future, continuing to earn those juicy Marvel paychecks.
"Star Lord and Cosmo will start building a new team at the end of Vol 3 from a revamped and high tech Knowhere. Adam Warlock is there and Phyla Vell played by Melchoir as well," – @greatphase15.
Yes, Cosmo will be joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, and this adorable dog in a spacesuit will undoubtedly be the cutest new character to boost Marvel merchandise sales. But beyond this exciting line-up of four heroes, fans are desperate to know more, already trying to figure out the full superhero roster on Reddit.
"Nova, Bill, Star lord, Cosmo, Adam Warlock, Groot, Phyla Vell. Maybe Gamora from whichever year she came from. Not entirely sure what's going on with her. Drax could also stay but if he dies not sure who could replace him. Same with Mantis," – /LatterTarget7.
In addition, one iconic Marvel Comics character is expected to appear at the end of the upcoming film, possibly foreshadowing the next big villain for 'Guardians of the Galaxy 4'.
"Silver Surfer would be rad (heh) but if he's showing up that means Big G ain't far behind and that is what I'm looking forward to the most. I definitely wanna see SS but Galactus has always been one of the coolest characters in comics, at least to me." – /Hxcfrog090.
