Guy Ritchie’s 2023 Thriller With 82% Audience Score Will Be on Peacock in April

The star-studded spy comedy was panned by critics, but the audiences might be delighted to see its arrival on another streaming platform.
Despite mixed reviews and bombing in the box office, some of Guy Ritchie ’s movies remain true fan-favourites, remembered for their action-packed stories and not for the critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.
While the director is booked and busy with his new upcoming TV show Young Sherlock, another movie helmed by Ritchie back in 2023 is about to arrive on Peacock, giving the streamer’s viewers one more flick with a star-studded cast and the audience score that promises nothing else but an entertaining watch.
Even with Jason Statham in the leading role, the film didn’t have much success when it came to critics’ reviews and its performance in the box office, but soon found more love on streaming.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre Is Heading to Peacock in April
Fans of Guy Ritchie, Jason Statham or simply any other big actor having a part in the movie might want to mark their calendars now as Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is scheduled to arrive on Peacock on April 28.
Apart from Statham, the movie also stars Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone and Hugh Grant, following Statham’s super spy Orson Fortune tasked with a mission to stop the massive sale of a new deadly weapon.
Knowing that the situation is controlled by billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds, portrayed by Hugh Grant, Fortune unwillingly teams up with other professional spies who come up with an idea to have their forces joined with Hollywood's biggest movie star Danny Francesco.
Together they must take the stolen advice from Simmonds before the latter sells it to someone way more powerful.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre Continued Guy Ritchie’s Discouraging Box Office Trend
Released back in 2023, the movie became one of those Ritchie-directed flicks that had no luck neither in the box office, nor with the critics.
Just like the director’s more recent The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Operation Fortune underperformed in theatres, grossing around $49 million against its budget of $50 million; it also received mixed reviews from critics, currently holding a score of 51% on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, the film’s digital release sometime a month after its theatrical premiere was way more effective, finding Operation Fortune its well-deserved numerous audience that gave the movie 82% of positive reviews.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is also available for streaming on Prime Video.
