The Fantastic Four is ready to have its second reboot in the 21st century on the big screen, this time as a proper part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
However, all we have at this moment is an official logo and the name of the director — Matt Shakman who previously worked on WandaVision. No other details about the film have been officially confirmed yet.
The most intriguing and most speculated mystery around the movie is its cast. It is still unknown who will portray the members of the Fantastic Four.
One member of the team and its leader Reed Richards also known as Mister Fantastic has already appeared in the MCU.
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the character was portrayed by John Krasinski, but let's not forget it was a version of this character from another universe.
It was also reported that Krasinski will not play the main version of the character in the new Fantastic Four movie.
Many actors were rumored to be in talks to play the members of the superhero team. Among them, Paul Mescal is allegedly one of the top candidates to play Human Torch.
It was previously reported by the known insider Daniel Richtman that Paul Mescal was offered to portray this character.
This hot superhero was previously portrayed by Captain America himself Chris Evans — in the Fantastic Four 2005 movie and in the 2007 sequel, and by Michael B. Jordan in the 2015 reboot.
However, Paul Mescal might disappoint those who expected him to be a new Human Torch. The reason why Mescal probably won't be the next Human Torch is the actor's schedule.
Mescal has been cast for Gladiator 2, which is set to start filming this summer. And now, it was reported by Deadline that Mescal is in talks to play in Hamnet adaptation from Chloé Zhao.
If Mescal will be cast for Hamnet, it is very unlikely that he will be able to film in the Fantastic Four movie, since the film release is currently scheduled for an early 2025 release.
Even though it is still unknown who are the actors of the third film adaptation of the Fantastic Four, fans can't wait to see a new team in the MCU that may have a big future in the upcoming events of the saga.
