Fans better get ready for the biggest trauma of the original show to return.

House of the Dragon season 2 is less than a month away from hitting Max, and that’s about all we can talk about right now.

The show promised to be back with an epic fight after the jaw-dropping season 1 ending, but all the fuss around the Game of Thrones prequel’s comeback is spurred not only by George R.R. Martin’s book series lovers (who already know how drastically things will turn in the next installment), but especially by the show’s proper actors.

Though House of the Dragon’s cast is surely prohibited to spill the beans on everything that’s about to happen in there, one of the show’s actresses has just dropped a major spoiler, and, unsurprisingly, it has a lot to do with Game of Thrones.

During Entertainment Weekly’s big interviews with House of the Dragon’s cast ahead of the second season’s premiere, Alicent Hightower’s actress Olivia Cooke made a big revelation about how she personally feels about what’s in store for the show.

Cooke clearly let the fans know that they should “expect the very worst possible, and then double it” hinting that something as gruesome could only happen in Game of Thrones’ storyline.

Spoiler alert for House of the Dragon season 2.

According to most recent reports, the prequel’s second installment will bring to the screen a duo of characters straight from Martin’s book Fire & Blood. Nicknamed Blood and Cheese, these characters were initially hired by the Blacks to carry out a full-scale revenge for Lucerys’ death by killing one of King Aegon’s heirs.

The book eventually makes it clear who falls victim to the duo’s pursuit, but what’s even more thrilling here is how their way of completing the mission intertwines with Game of Thrones’ most dramatic scene ever.

According to the original book, Blood and Cheese aren’t set only for murdering one of the Greens, but also for proving it by solid evidence and bringing the victim’s head to Harrenhal to later on be rewarded for their deed.

If you’re a long-standing fan of House of the Dragon’s predecessor, Game of Thrones, this surely is supposed to ring a bell for you. The show’s season 1 ended on quite an emotional note when Ned Stark, Winterfell’s Lord and House of Stark’s leader, was beheaded in front of the land’s citizens, including his young daughter Sansa.

Even with a huge hint like this for House of the Dragon’s upcoming season, the show still has a lot of chances to leave its fans speechless. The second season is set to land on Max on June 16.
