Someone is trading a dragon for a lightsaber, apparently.

Amid the rumors that Ahsoka Tano will be portrayed by several actresses aside from the main star Rosario Dawson in the upcoming Disney Plus series, Nerdgazm reported that House of the Dragon 's Savannah Steyn will be one of such actresses.

According to the report, Steyn will portray the Clone Wars version of Ahsoka, joining other younger variants of the character that will appear via "The World Between Worlds". Several Ahsoka versions were rumored by leaker MakingStarWars earlier in the week.

Steyn played the teenage version of Lady Laena Velaryon in the Game of Thrones prequel, quickly garnering a lot of fan love. Even though House of the Dragon is expected to start filming for season 2 in March 2023, Savannah is not expected to return to her role, as she only portrayed the young version of the character who is already dead.

Currently, neither Disney nor Steyn herself have confirmed the casting rumors, but both Star Wars and House of the Dragon fans are celebrating Steyn's potential new gig. According to fans, this is "absolutely one of THE BEST casting decisions ever in Star Wars", even though many people fancast Laura Harrier or Jenna Ortega as their perfect Ahsoka.

It is also rumored that the Clone Wars version of Ahsoka will cross sabers with Hayden Christensen 's Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming series. The last time Christensen appeared in the Star Wars series was in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the Darth Vader actor will reportedly return in Ahsoka as well.

If all the rumors are to be believed, then Star Wars fans might want to brace themselves for a face-off between Christensen's Skywalker and Steyn's Ahsoka. Still, the majority of screen time in Ahsoka still belongs to Rosario Dawson.

Ahsoka Might Be Star Wars' Most Overrated Character

Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney Plus in 2023, with the studio yet to clarify the exact release date.
