While we're here definitely not to point any fingers, some stories just ought to be told.

And this is one of those stories that, while fascinating as they are, help paint a bigger picture when it comes to what happens behind the closed doors of streaming giants' offices.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a phenomenon in the entertainment industry. She's behind the successful series Killing Eve and Fleabag, and she has even contributed to the screenplay of the latest James Bond movie – No Time to Die.

Her creative portfolio extends well beyond the scripted shows and movies, as she's to be seen in a music video with Harry Styles, dancing and all.

And if that wasn't enough, she's also a talented actress, playing a new major female heroine in the fifth Indiana Jones entry, alongside Harrison Ford ( apart of course from her groundbreaking performance in Fleabag).

While it's easy to be impressed by her numerous achievements, Waller-Bridge recently made headlines for an entirely different reason.

As reports show, she has received a whopping $60 million contract with Amazon without even having worked on anything yet.

The details of this endeavor were made public by The Hollywood Reporter, and it's definitely an impressive feat for any creator in the entertainment industry.

At the end of 2019, Waller-Bridge signed a three-year deal with Amazon, worth $20 million per year, to develop new content for the platform.

Initially, she was supposed to help create a series adaptation of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the film that featured Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (because apparently, we don't have enough reboots as it is).

However, the project fell through due to alleged creative differences.

Despite this setback, Amazon went on to renew Waller-Bridge's contract, betting on the likelihood that she will deliver quality content anyway.

As the Amazon bosses stated, "when she does deliver, she delivers." The creator is now rumored to be working on a new series based on the popular Tomb Raider franchise, but details about the project are scarce.

As of this moment, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has not provided any comments on the issue.

It's hard not to admire Waller-Bridge, considering the scope of her work and the critical acclaim she's received.

She is a star in every sense of the word, and whatever project she works on next, it's certain to be something incredible. We know that, you know that, everybody knows it.

So, for now, let's just take a step back and await whatever news regarding her projects await us.
