"I fell for her very, very hard": what happened to Morrey on Love Is Blind, in his own words
Morrey Eglin had a note ready for Sarah in the pods, and she never got to read it.
Love Is Blind season 11 is set in Boston. Netflix released the first five episodes on October 14, with episodes 6 through 8 arriving October 21, 9 through 11 on October 28 and the finale on November 4. Morrey, 32, is a local entrepreneur who co-founded Boston Baggs Company, which runs cornhole leagues and tournaments, in 2020. He came out of the season without an engagement.
What happened in the pods
Morrey built three connections, and none of them made it out:
- Benita — Benita Paloja, a 31-year-old insurance agent born in Kosovo, moved faster than he was ready for. When he hesitated about committing, she walked away.
- Erika — Erika Ellis, a 37-year-old marketing director, was a real connection too. He cried with her once, in a conversation that didn't make the edit. She got engaged to Blake Carver.
- Sarah — Sarah Williams, a 34-year-old health care program manager, was the one he chose.
He'd decided to commit to Sarah, and he wrote her a note asking her to be his girlfriend rather than his fiancée, so he wouldn't rush her. Before he could give it to her, Sarah told him she had strong feelings for someone else. That was John Shannon, a 33-year-old account executive who had disclosed before the pods opened that he had recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Sarah and John got engaged. Morrey went home.
"I never sent it over," Morrey told Netflix's Tudum of the note.
What he says about Sarah
He isn't pretending the decision was close. He told Tudum that once he had thought it through, "it was just her for me," and that his feelings for Erika didn't change it: "I really liked Erika, but I had made my decision."
"I fell for her very, very hard. I want the best for her," Morrey said of Sarah.
He also told Tudum he has "zero hard feelings at all."
The speech he regrets watching
The pod date Morrey has had to answer for ever since came in episode 2, with Sarah. He described how he shows love, in very traditional terms:
- The fight — if 15 men were outside the pod, he said, he'd lock the door and take them all on: "I'd fight 'em all. In my head, that's love."
- The earrings — he'd never pierce his ears, because his late father would roll over in his grave.
- The coffee — he doesn't drink it, because his dad never did.
- Other men — he has no time for men who shop at Whole Foods or wear sandals and pastel sweaters.
He has seen it back since. "Watching it back, I wanted to throw up," he told Elite Daily, and he credits Sarah with changing how he thinks: "I think she opened my eyes a little bit." Regrets are another matter.
"I really have no regrets about anything I've ever done," Morrey told Elite Daily.
What he says about Benita
Morrey has been careful in how he talks about Benita. He told Tudum that she moved too fast for him and that "it just felt like [she was] smothering a fire," but added: "I didn't want to be mean to Benita. I really didn't."
When fans accused her of love bombing him, Morrey defended her in an interview with TV Insider's Swooon.
Where he is now
Morrey is still in Boston, and he has added two businesses to the cornhole company this year: Home Coat Painting Co., launched in February 2026, and a clothing brand called Good Boy, launched that March.
He has also stayed in touch with the men from his season. In September he spent time with Rob Feeley, Cam Halloran, Jay Robinson and John Shannon.
