A sort of Schrödinger's departure happened out there.

We love and respect General Hospital for its attitude towards fans. The showrunners always keep them interested in the series by adding a lot of involving storylines and characters.

Of course, every soap opera also needs a pinch of drama. And we can say for sure, there’s a lot of drama happening on set.

But as it appeared, the drama is going on even when the shooting process gets wrapped up.

We'll start from the fact that news about some actors leaving a soap is actually never shocking news, true fans of long-running shows already know that cast changes are a part of a ride.

But this time, when they saw a tweet from Nancy Lee Grahn in her official account saying that she was leaving the show they actually didn’t believe it.

Well, of course, firstly, there were some comments on how they would miss the actress, who had been playing the role of Alexis Davis since 1996.

So when the fans heard the news about her departure – that time it was jaw-dropping news.

The post about her abrupt exit was written with mistakes and frankly didn’t feel like it was Grahn who wrote that.

It was stated that she is “no longer a part of General Hospital. I’m sorry to all the fans this may upset, but I feel like it’s time to move onto bigger and better things.”

Well, it turned out that she had simply been hacked. But the hackers didn't stop there.

After a while, the account claimed that Grahn had regained control and bizarrely blamed General Hospital live-tweeter WubsNet. But it only backtracked, and eventually admitted that a hacker was in charge.

So no, Grahn won't be leaving the show. But boy it was some General Hospital-worthy drama!
