James Gunn is busy shaping the future of the DC Universe, but there’s one project he’s been teasing that remains firmly under wraps. As the Gods and Monsters phase kicks off — with Superman: Legacy, Peacemaker Season 2, and the Lanterns series already in motion — Gunn has hinted at a personal favourite that has yet to be officially announced.

He’s deliberately keeping the project secret, fearing that other studios might "rip off" the concept if it’s revealed too soon. In a recent interview, Gunn described it as one of the most exciting elements of his DCU plans.

"There’s another TV show that’s my favorite thing in all of this, hopefully coming soon," Gunn told Entertainment Weekly. "Then there’s a movie… I’m not sure what I can say, but we’re working on a couple, one of which is in good shape, the other still early, but we’re positive about both."

For now, fans are left to speculate. But it’s clear that this unannounced project is something Gunn has been passionate about since the earliest stages of planning. When it finally emerges from the shadows, it could very well mark a defining moment for the new DCU.
