Jason Isaacs ‘Wanted to Blackmail’ The White Lotus Creators For a Very Relatable Reason

Some of the cast members might need to wait until April 6 to see who is The White Lotus’ next victim.
Mike White’s hit anthology series, The White Lotus is currently continuing its run with a third season, and things start gradually getting messier as the new instalment approaches its finale set to release on April 6.
While there’s nothing certain to say about what gruesome event will shake the glamorous resort this time or who won’t get out of there alive after all, fans will most likely have to wait until the very last episode to connect the dots and have the puzzle complete.
Surprisingly, this might concern one of The White Lotus’ leading actors as well, as he has recently revealed some shocking truth about his work on the show’s latest instalment.
Jason Isaacs Says He Wasn’t Allowed to Watch The White Lotus’ Season 3 Finale
The actor, who in the series portrays businessman Timothy Ratliff trying to hide his legal problems from his family while on vacation, has recently opened up about his personal feelings towards The White Lotus in an interview with Esquire, stating that he had seen only 6 episodes out of 8 so far.
“I haven’t seen the others. I’ve read them. I skim-read them once when I was first offered [the role], and only my own scenes. I didn’t want to know what happened to other people because a) my character didn’t know, but b) I’m a fan of White Lotus and I want to watch it. But after seeing the first batch of episodes, I was absolutely salivating for the others”, he explained.
Isaacs also added that he felt bad the show’s production team wouldn’t send the remaining 2 episodes for him to watch and even considered blackmailing them.
Jason Isaacs Is Convinced You Can’t Guess Who Mike White’s Next Victim Is
Delving into the matter, the actor clarified that he’d wanted to see the finale so badly just because he was curious whether it would be one of this season’s lead characters who will end up dead or someone else instead.
According to Isaacs, things aren’t that simple when it comes to White’s writing and his ability to shock the viewers even if they thought they’d figured everything out.
“There’s no pattern to who he decides dies. Be aware — and this is not telling you anything about what’s coming up — Mike has gotten richer and bolder. I don’t mean richer with money. I mean more textured as a writer, empowered to explore whatever he wants, however he wants. It doesn’t stop him from entertaining. But it does mean that he’s always been too clever to repeat himself”, the actor shared.
The White Lotus’ season 3 episode 4 has just debuted on Max while episode 5 is scheduled to be released on March 16.
