It looks like the 'Supernatural' star is getting ready to play the caped crusader, but what might this mysterious project be about?

Jensen Ackles is currently experiencing tremendous success with his Boy Soldier role in 'The Boys ' season 3, and Warner Bros. is certainly more than willing to let the actor shine as Batman. But with Robert Pattinson, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton all set to play the Gotham hero in the coming years, the question of where Ackles will appear remains open. Fortunately, there are already some pretty interesting theories on Reddit.

During his recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers Ackles talked about his involvement in the as-yet-unconfirmed 'Batman' project, without revealing details.

"Yep. In fact, I just spent about three and a half hours in the studio yesterday doing, uh, doing Batman. That was a big deal. I don't want to drop that ball," Ackles said.

However, DC fans were quick to warn Ackles' fandom not to expect to see the actor as a live-action Batman, given his previous involvement in voicing Bruce Wayne in the 2021 animated feature 'Batman: The Long Halloween'.

"At the risk of stating the obvious, he's probably talking about his involvement in the next DCAU movie." – /Prosaic_PIXELS.

And yet, despite all evidence to the contrary, some wishful thinkers still believe that Ackles will be somehow involved in the next chapter of the DCEU.

"Could it be Crisis on Infinite Earths related? It's a 3-parter DCAU movie coming out next year. They probably wouldn't start working now, right?" – /aeplusjay.
