Josh Peck Talks The Last of Us Cameo: ‘Very, Very Lucky'

The Last of Us Season 2 is in full swing right now. And according to Variety, the premiere of Season 2 attracted more viewers when the show's debut.
This is why Josh Peck's cameo seemed to come completely out of nowhere.

Josh Peck is really out there doing side quests at this point, and another one of his is getting to star in The Last of Us. But Peck didn't even see the show before he got the audition. In a recent interview to Variety, he revealed:
“So when the show first came out, knowing how big the video game is, I didn’t watch it at first. Then when I got the audition, I’m like, “Let me make sure I understand.” So I watched the first episode, and eight hours later I had watched them all.”
Peck also talked about working with Craig Mazin as a dream-come-true.
“I feel very, very lucky to have been involved and to have been able to work with someone like Craig Mazin.”

Like many of us, Peck found himself particularly moved by Episode 3 of the first season. Although some viewers dismissed it as “unnecessary,” the episode has touched the actor.
“Like most people, Episode 3 was one of the most beautiful love stories I’ve ever seen,” Peck confessed.
But this is not the only thing he liked about the show. He also said:
“I immediately fell in love with every character I was supposed to fall in love with, and I hated everyone I was supposed to hate.”
