Animated, yes — but with shadowy villains and serious K-pop attitude.

Netflix’s new animated blast, K-Pop: Demon Hunters, arrived on 20 June 2025 — and yes, it’s as wild as it sounds. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, it follows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey — better known as the girl group Huntrix — as they secretly battle demons disguised as rival boyband Saja Boys, led by a shape-shifting villain named Jinoo.

It’s rated PG, making it fine for kids with a few action-heavy moments. The voices behind the magic? Joy (Red Velvet), Audrey Nuna, and Amber Liu.

Stream it only on Netflix, and turn the volume up — the soundtrack features TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung on the fierce anthem "Takedown."
