Those who have been fans of Liam Neeson’s numerous epic thrillers might have to share their love with the actor’s new admirers now that he’s proved himself as a comedy star in a new version of The Naked Gun.

Even though Neeson seemingly convinced everyone that his retirement was about to happen this year, the actor will likely have to put it off for a while, considering how many projects starring Neeson are now on their way to the big screens.

While we all wait for The Naked Gun’s streaming drop to have fun again, here are some of the upcoming movies that Liam Neeson’s fans should add to their 2026 watchlist.

In Frankie Shaw’s upcoming comedy movie, Liam Neeson will once again have to deal with pretty disturbing consequences of someone else’s actions, portraying Danny, the grandfather of Paige who, alongside her friends, decides to rob a bank.

However, the whole thing isn’t just Paige’s crazy idea — her grandfather is an actual former bank robber who remains in contact with his gang even after ending it all with criminal things.

One day Paige overhears Danny talking about the upcoming bank robbery on the phone, coming up with a thought of doing the same one day earlier.

Another upcoming action thriller starring Liam Neeson, the movie centres on Neeson’s Ryan "Fang" Flanagan, a war hero who goes into disgrace after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit.

Now that he has nothing to lose, Flanagan will do whatever it takes to escape from the police’s hands, resulting in an epic cross-country chase that he will lead his persecutors to.

On top of that, Flanagan will get some help from members of his former Special Forces Army battalion, with the world public cheering for him too.

Reuniting with Marlowe’s director Neil Jordan for yet another thriller, Neeson is set to star in the leading role of a convicted man who gets a chance to get his freedom back if he agrees to orchestrate a risky prison break for a terrorist after the latter’s lawyer is kidnapped.

Being the only person in the prison who knows how to escape, Neeson’s character will embark on a dangerous mission to win his life out of prison back.

Like The Mongoose, The Riker’s Ghost is now in its post-production phase, which means the movie will likely be released in theatres sometime next year.

'Charlie Johnson in the Flames' — TBA

Based on Justin Haythe’s adaptation of Michael Ignatieff’s novel of the same name, the future movie will see Neeson taking on the role of Charlie Johnson, a real-life BBC war correspondent who bravely covered civil upheaval in the Congo.

However, the death of an innocent woman turns into something personal for Johnson who embarks on an even riskier mission to travel to Iraq and confront a ruthless Colonel, the one responsible for so many innocent lives being lost.

The movie is expected to be released in 2026.

'Run All Night 2' — TBA

A sequel to 2015’s Run All Night, the movie will see Neeson reprising his role as Jimmy “The Gravedigger” Conlon, an Irish mobster who will go on high-stakes risks to keep his son away from what his gang is doing.

The continuation is believed to follow the same storyline, with twists and turns all the way more dangerous and dramatic than before.

Apart from that, it’s not really clear how exactly Neeson’s character will be brought back since he dies at the end of the first movie, which means there might be some flashback-centred action or rather a major revelation about Conlon not being dead at all.

Run All Night 2 is currently in its post-production phase, so don’t expect it in theatres earlier than 2026.
