We live in an era when our faves stay in touch with the fandom — and we love it.

As we try to wrap our minds (and hearts) around the bombshell season two finale of Good Omens, many of us are finding solace in fanfiction - even if the ending of the second chapter felt pretty much like one.

Fanfiction is a major source of entertainment, as well as a great way to try and "fix" something you may not like about your beloved series or movie, be it the creators' failure to bring your favorite couple together or an overlooked plotline.

Good Omens is no exception. Fans of the adventures of Crowley and Aziraphale gladly delve into the world invented by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, sometimes tweaking it as they please.

Well, turns out that Michael Sheen, who portrays Aziraphale in Amazon Prime TV series, knows everything about it. Here's what he thinks of fanfiction (spoiler alert: we think it's very Aziraphale of him!).

"It [fanfiction] goes gay very quickly," Sheen admitted, speaking on The Graham Norton Show. "But it's kind of amazing! I think it's a fantastic thing. [...] It's such a love of the show! It shows such commitment to it."

The Aziraphale actor went on to note that the majority of Good Omens fanfics "[do] involve [him] and David Tennant having sex." However, it looks like he doesn't mind it at all, being a lovely defender of fan culture that he is!

Warning: spoilers for Good Omens season 2 ahead.

In Good Omens season 2 finale, Crowley and Aziraphale finally share a passionate kiss right after they stop yet another apocalyptic-ish thing from happening. However, it was not exactly a happy ending many Good Omens fans were hoping for.

Aziraphale has chosen to become the next supreme archangel, while Crowley wanted them to enjoy their "us" away from both Heaven and Hell. The duo apparently split, even though neither of them felt good about it.

The season finale was a painful emotional rollercoaster for fans, which makes waiting for the third installment even more excruciating. Neil Gaiman has already said that season 3 is in the works, even though the ongoing writers and actors strike prevents it from being actively developed.

Good Omens season 2 is available for streaming on Prime Video.
