Tom Hardy’s character was stabbed in MobLand’s season 1 finale, but fans might have little to worry about before the next season comes.

Things escalated dramatically in the final episode of MobLand’s first season, though it’s not Richie Stevenson’s death or a major revelation about Eddie that keeps tormenting the show’s fans.

Apart from all that, the episode features a shocking plot twist in regard to Tom Hardy’s Harry Da Souza, whose fate so far remains unknown after he was accidentally stabbed by his wife Jan during a heated confrontation.

The whole matter might remain a burning question until MobLand returns with a second instalment. However, the answer for it is likely already there.

Even though the cliffhanger about Harry’s fate is still there, many fans actually think he’ll be just fine in the second season — only because things wouldn’t work out without him anyway.

1.The Stab Is a Way to Save Their Marriage

Some fans believe that Jan was this close to end things with Harry and take Gina away. But the stab was the only way to turn the tables for her and realize that she loves her husband – and now that she almost (?) killed him, she may love him even more.

“For a Season 2 to exist Harry has to be still in the show because the Harrigans would all be dead and they would definitely not be getting out of prison if it wasn't for him”, Redditor Martana1212 explained in a thread.

Theory 2: Harry Is Too Important for Season 2

Not only does everyone love Tom Hardy and his character, but Harry also remains a key figure for a potential season 2. Some fans believe Harry just can’t die yet because of his ultimate plot armor.

“Harry still holds the evidence that would free Conrad and Maeve. Do they even know it exists? He could use that as leverage to control them, though Maeve would surely renege on any deal she made. Conrad is not at his best, but he could still create a lot of chaos for Kevin and Harry”, Weller3920 suggested.

Theory 3: Jan Knew Exactly What She Was Doing

Some fans hate Jan for being way too silly for a mob fixer wife, but others believe that everything — from dinner with Alice to the “accidental” stab — was carefully planned.

“I’m still lowkey sticking with the theory that Jan knew who Alice was and had this whole thing planned to some extent. Her alone at the table being the last shot and her facial expression changing ever so lightly when the police lights disappeared. She wants the Harrigans gone and must’ve learned a thing or two by being married to Harry for 20+ years”, ConcentrateNo5617 revealed in another Reddit thread.

Theory 4: Harry Is Undercover

Or maybe we all got it wrong, and it’s Harry who is an undercover operative with his own agenda. It remains to be seen whether Jan is his true ally or may have just blown everything for him.

“I don't WANT Harry to be some sort of undercover operative, but I think it's possible. What's more probable is that Harry is who Colin wishes he could be in terms of being as enmeshed with the family as Harry is”, Ok-Pumpkin400 commented.

Theory 5: Harry Is, In Fact, a Harrigan

No matter how worried we are for Harry right now, one important thing remains a mystery: his background. The “Eddie is Conrad’s son” buzz is all the rage now, but what if Harry is an actual part of the family, too?

“It’s likely Eddie is Conrad’s son but the theory that Harry could be Conrad’s hasn’t been dispelled yet. Maeves comments could be worked in either direction and the fact Eddie walked in as the conversation was happening seemed a bit too obvious possibly. They could still switch this, you know nothing about Harry’s backstory still it hasn't moved an iota”, jayives1 said.

Whatever outcome the first season’s mess would signal for Tom Hardy’s character, he’s definitely not out of the game yet, which was recently confirmed by MobLand’s EP Jez Butterworth.

“I mean, if you think about it, ‘is Harry dead? No. We’re not gonna – We love Harry. We love Tom”, he shared exclusively with New York Post.

When Will ‘MobLand’ Season 2 Be Released?

Despite speculations about MobLand’s season 2, the show hasn’t yet received a renewal for another instalment.
