New Sue Storm in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Just Made Me Want to Rewatch ‘The Crown’

Marvel has a new Invisible Woman, and the fans of Netflix’s hit historical drama series might know her quite well.
The Fantastic Four is finally getting a movie just as fantastic that it deserved all along, and once again Marvel’s adaptation of the famous comic book features a whole list of big Hollywood names.
Led by Game of Thrones and The Last of Us’ Pedro Pascal as new Mister Fantastic, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces a completely renovated team of four superheroes, including a different Invisible Woman and wife to Pascal’s Reed Richards.
However, you might have seen Sue Storm somewhere else before, particularly in Netflix’s The Crown.
Who Plays Sue Storm in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’?
In the new movie version of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s hit comics, Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman is portrayed by Vanessa Kirby.
Kirby is an English actress who rose to stardom thanks to the role of Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of Netflix’s historical drama series The Crown.
The actress was confirmed to be taking on the role of Sue Storm back in February of 2024, alongside the rest of the leading cast that, apart from Pascal, also includes Joseph Quinn and Ebon Mass-Bachrach.
Where Else Could You See Vanessa Kirby?
After receiving numerous accolades for Princess Margaret’s portrayal, the actress went on to star in the Emilia Clark-led romantic drama Me Before You, a 2018 action spy movie Mission Impossible — Fallout and its sequels, as well as a 2020 melodrama film Pieces of a Woman which brought Kirby her first ever nomination for Academy Award.
