New 'Wednesday' Season 2 Sneak Peak: Pugsley Tries to Fit in, Morticia Fences & Enid Is Losing It

Woe-woe-woe! We have a new sneak peek for Wednesday season 2, and it has already revealed a lot.
Netflix released a sneak peek for Wednesday season 2 on Tuesday, May 20, unveiling some of the key relationship dynamics of the new season, as well as spillling some tea on new and old characters.
"Wednesday Addams is one of the coolest characters of all time," says Jenna Ortega in the video, wearing her Wednesday outfit. "So, to slip into the costume and tone again, it's just so much fun."
Executive producer and director Tim Burton also chimed in, saying that working on the new season has been enjoyable because he "loves the cast" and teasing that this year "we bring the [Addams] family to Nevermore."
Here's what the sneek peak has revealed about season 2 so far.
Wednesday and Morticia Will Fence
If there was a truly dream sequence for Wednesday season 2, it's this one: apparently, Jenna Ortega's Wednesday and Catherine Zeta-Jones' Morticia will fence. In the sneak peek, we see them rehearsing their duel and also get a glimpse of how the scene will look like in its final version.
"She's so good," says Ortega in the video, speaking of Zeta-Jones' skills in fencing. "You can see she was a dancer."
Morticia is also heard saying to Wednesday: "Darling, I'm not your enemy. I'm your mother." It's not clear whether the two are just exercising or actually fighting over something.
Pugsley Is a New Nevermore Student Struggling to Fit in
Season 2 marks the first time Pugsley will enter Nevermore as a student, and his sister has no intention of making this journey any easier for him. In the sneak peek, she immediately proceeds to harshly tell him their "ground rules": no eye contact without permission and Thing's loyalties stay with Miss Addams.
"Poor Pugsley, he's an outcast among outcasts this season," Tim Burton says.
Isaac Ordonez, the actor who portrays Pugsley in Wednesday, has no mercy for his character.
"He wants to fit in, and he really wants a friend. But it's not looking very good," he says in the video.
Joanna Lumley's Grandmama Is Our New Crush
Wednesday season 2 also welcomes a new family member: Grandmama, portrayed by Joanna Lumley. She is sarcastic, elegant, and you can see how it runs in the family the moment we hear the first words from her.
Also, a nice touch: Wednesday is seen smiling widely at Grandmama, just like she did with Uncle Fester in season 1. Clearly, she has her favorites in the family.
Tyler Is Preparing For Attack While Enid Just Wants Some Peace
Sneak peek also offers a fresh look at Hunter Doohan's Tyler, who is still (or yet?) cuffed in a basement, and Enid, who is losing it over how Wednesday found herself "involved in some grisly murder case" on "day two" of school.
Honestly, girl, we get it. And apparently, Enid will be in danger this season: in the video, we see her tied up and looking pretty scared.
Wednesday and her school friends are seen starting a riot (or whatever that torch demonstration was), bringing some sort of a phoenix to life, wielding axes, and putting their and everyone else's life in danger.
What's not to like?
When Will 'Wednesday' Season 2 Premiere?
