You might have never thought these smallest changes can do so much harm to your pet’s emotional state.

Even though it’s pretty clear that every cat or dog has their own character traits that sometimes can be hard to understand for their owners, it still feels pretty upsetting when the pet reacts aggressively to your attempts to caress them. Some might consider it a sign that their pet is actually angry at its owner, yet it’s not quite the reason in most of the cases.

According to many animal experts, cats and dogs can show signs of aggression when they’re feeling stressed, and often it happens because of minor changes that their owner doesn’t even notice.

Why Can Pets Be Stressed?

Numerous studies have shown that there can be a set of reasons why a cat or a dog can behave weirdly. First, unspayed female pets are most likely to be under the risk, since they’re prone to have hormonal imbalances.

Apart from that, pets also feel uncomfortable when there’s someone new showing up in the house, whether it’s just a guest or a new family member that is to stay there forever.

Lastly, pets, and especially cats, can start behaving in a strange way if you’ve recently changed their normal food for something different; in these cases, they can even refuse to eat the new food and thus behave aggressively because of hunger.

If you have no clue how to help your pet and aren’t willing to make things even worse for it, experts suggest you consult a local vet for a solid advice.
