Looks like Teen Wolf fans won't be able to escape a tragedy either way.

The Teen Wolf movie is coming, and fans are excited to see the return of some of their favorite characters. However, one character's return is causing quite a bit of controversy among fans. Allison, played by Crystal Reed, is set to return for the movie, but some fans are saying that her death in the TV series should have remained permanent.

"I was thrilled when I heard that Allison was going to be back for the movie," said one fan. "But then I heard that she might be coming back as a villain, and I was like, 'Wait, what?'"

Another fan added, "I don't understand why they would bring her back," pointing out that Allison's death was such a turning point for the show. Many Teen Wolf fans are certain that reviving Allison would undo all of the character development that happened because of her death.

Annoying Stiles' Plot Hole That Bothers Teen Wolf Fans To This Day

Allison's death in the TV series indeed had a significant impact on the show. It changed the lives of Scott, Lydia, Stiles, and her father, Chris Argent. Her death forced Scott to be his own anchor, Lydia to embrace her powers, Stiles to deal with guilt and Chris Argent to follow the new family motto Allison coined, "We protect those who cannot protect themselves."

Teen Wolf Movie Risks Repeating Annoying House of the Dragon Mistake

It's clear that Allison wasn't just any character, she was an integral part of the show and the heart of the story. Her return would raise a number of questions that one movie couldn't possibly answer. If Allison comes back to life, it would be necessary to explore how she fits into everyone's lives now, and it would have to be written in a way that doesn't undo others' character development.

"I think it would be better if they just left Allison dead," said one fan. "Her death was such a powerful moment, and reviving her would cheapen that. I'd rather have some closure on her death than see her come back as a villain."

It seems that many fans agree that Allison's death should remain permanent, as it would be a justice to her character. The only way to achieve that? Once again kill Crystal Reed's character off, giving the movie a fitting, although heartbreaking, end.

Unfortunately for those who feel that Allison's revival undoes her character arc in the show, chances that Allison will die in the movie are slim. After all, it was Jeff Davis' dream to get Crystal back as Allison, and it was already rumored that the movie script breaks up Scott and Malia to get Scott and Allison back together.
