Only 3 Taylor Sheridan Shows Are Worth Waiting for After 1923 End

The director’s best times are probably gone by now, but there’s a chance he makes it right.
Taylor Sheridan has definitely lived his best life while his numerous shows kept dominating Paramount+, leaving all other big series way behind.
Nothing lasts forever though, and the director is currently under fire after his 1923 finale. It was a prequel show to Sheridan’s previous hit Yellowstone. Now that it has ended, only 3 Sheridan projects are still worth waiting for — and we have them all right here.
6666
Only Yellowstone’s hardcore fans may be pretty excited about this weirdly looking number.
The title of Sheridan’s next big move in his 2018 hit show’s universe makes a clear reference to the Four Sixes ranch, a historic site and one of the most iconic places located in Texas. The ranch is repeatedly mentioned throughout Yellowstone’s 5 seasons, though it takes on a much bigger role in season 4 where Jimmy Hurdstram is sent to the Four Sixes to learn what it’s like to be a cowboy.
There’s no much saying about the future show’s storyline, but this time Sheridan might become a much more frequent visitor on set — around three years ago, the director bought the ranch for a whopping amount of around $200 million, so he’s likely to be way more comfortable filming at home.
Empire Of The Summer Moon
A big fan of the Wild West himself, Taylor Sheridan doesn’t shy away from exploring American history’s hidden corners, even if it requires a solid history knowledge.
After a series of big shows he invented the stories for, the director is set to bring something real to the screen by adapting a historical book with a voluminous title Empire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History.
The original book recounts the events that occurred throughout a four-decades-long conflict between Comanche Indians and white settlers for control of the American West in the 1830s.
Sheridan’s position as the project’s helmer received a definite approval from the novel’s author S. C. Gwynne who highlighted the former’s deep understanding of the complex history the Wild West has had.
The Madison
Another series inspired by Sheridan’s fruitful Yellowstone, The Madison will star Michelle Pfeiffer in a neo-Western drama following the McIntosh family who moves from New York to Montana after their patriarch’s untimely death.
Like with many other series that are currently in the works, there’s not so much to know about this one yet either, as well as there’s no saying whether Yellowstone’s stars will be featured or not.
However, it is expected for Sheridan’s upcoming new spinoff to have at least a slight connection to the original story, since the family’s move to Montana wouldn’t really make sense otherwise.
The Madison has no release date so far, but the show has been rumoured to have wrapped the production. So Yellowstone’s fans might hope to see what’s in store sometime this year or next one.
