Given the popularity of Matt Groening's show, it's only natural that fans of "The Simpsons" tend to identify with Homer, Bart, Lisa, and other residents of Springfield.

And we decided to add a little psychology to that practice by finding out which characters share your Myers-Briggs personality type!

One of the longest-running shows in the history of animation, The Simpsons has always captivated fans with characters that seem simple but are actually quite complex, with dozens of seasons of character development behind them.

Sharing a personality type with Mr. Burns may sound a bit offensive at first, but once you begin to pay attention to this conflicted character, you'll begin to understand how vulnerable, interesting, and good-natured this mogul actually is.

And that's why "The Simpsons" is so beloved – there are no bad people in Springfield, every character is unique, just like the fans of the cartoon themselves.

And like any good social comedy, the show makes perfect use of common human archetypes, which really helped us assign the characters their own Myers-Briggs types.

Maybe finding out from this list that you share a lot of similar personality traits with someone from the show will force you to reevaluate some of the people who live in Springfield, because even Ned Flanders deserves a chance to be loved, don't you think?
