It's always better to prepare for the worse and be proven wrong than the other way around.

No matter how many ups and downs Riverdale has experienced in its 6 years on air, loyal fans have always stood behind it.

However, given that season 7 will be the show's final season, many began to doubt the creators' ability to wrap things up in a way that would leave viewers satisfied.

Fortunately, it now appears that all fears were unfounded, and Riverdale is doing better than ever in its new format.

The decision to move the story back in time for the final season was questionable, to say the least.

From the moment the fanbase found out about it, they never believed it would be possible to do justice to the series finale and complete all the storylines and arcs while trying to show a parallel universe in the 1950s.

However, they were proven wrong by the producers, who clearly knew what they were doing despite the many doubts.

"I was personally prepared not to like the whole 1950s thing but these past episodes made me realize the show actually seems more natural this way," Redditor welcome2mycandystore said.

With many other similar sentiments, Riverdale fans have come to the conclusion that the show would be much better off if it had been like this from the beginning.

Some are even disappointed, thinking about how much time the show spent trying to be good, only to find the perfect formula in the end.

The same goes for the post-production quality. Many viewers have noticed how much more effort the whole team has put into the latest episodes, which makes them stand out positively from the previous seasons.

Remember how fans were complaining about all the overused sounds that made people cringe so much they couldn't watch the show? Well, even those seem to be gone for good.

It's always harder to let go of something good, but Riverdale fans should be proud of the team. They made sure the show ended on the best possible note.
