‘Scrubs’ Revival Cast Revealed: Which OG Stars Are Returning for Season 10?
The reboot of ABC’s hit medical drama is now in the active development, though don’t expect every favorite character to reappear on the screen soon.
In the world of never-ending reboots and sequels, news about something being remade isn’t much of a surprise, though sometimes it can be something even fans weren’t expecting.
This might be the case of Scrubs, a cult medical sitcom that run from 2001 to 2010, ending up with nine seasons in total.
Scrubs’ season 8 signalled a not so bright future for the series when lead Zach Braff’s J.D. Dorian seemingly announced his departure from the show in the finale.
Despite Braff eventually returning for the final season, Scrubs was meant to be gone soon after that; however, it turned out lately that season 9 wasn’t really the last one.
Now that the medical series is set to bring the beloved characters back, Scrubs’ fans expect to witness the whole reunion, though it might not happen anyway.
Who Is and Is Not Returning in ‘Scrubs’ Season 10?

So far there’s not so much to say about the upcoming new instalment’s plot, but the majority of leading actors have already been confirmed to return or to exit the series for good.
The list of those set to reprise their roles includes Zach Braff (J.D. Dorian), Donald Faison (Christopher Turk), Sarah Chalke (Elliot Reid), Judy Reyes (Carla Espinosa), John C. McGinley (Perry Cox), Robert Maschio (“The Todd”) and Phill Lewis (Dr. Hooch).
Two actors, however, are very unlikely to rejoin Scrubs: Neil Flynn, who had a breakout role as Janitor, hasn’t yet been confirmed to return, while Johnny Kastl, famous for portraying Dr. Doug Murphy, isn’t expected to return after he quit acting.
Additionally, the new cast counts with Vanessa Bayer( Sibby, responsible for a faculty and staff wellness program), Joel Kim Booster (Dr. Eric Park), Ava Bunn (Serena), Jacob Dudman (Asher), David Gridley (Blake), Layla Mohammadi (Amara) and Amanda Morrow (Dashana).
‘Scrubs’ Reboot Debuts Next February

As it turned out, it didn’t take that long for the show’s next season to get into development as Scrubs is now set to come back to ABC on February 25, broadcast at 8 p.m. ET/PT with back-to-back episodes.
As the reboot’s official logline suggests, there will be nothing tremendously new in the Scrubs’ story, with old and new characters still navigating their routine life in Sacred Heart, trying to deal with everyday problems with laughter, each other’s support and some surprising turns of events coming along the way.
