Shonda Rhimes Outdid Herself in These 3 Shows: I Recommend Them to Everyone

Some of the most successful TV series come from the mastermind Shonda Rhimes and her company Shondaland. However, these three shows are what made me fall in love with her talent.
Modern television can’t be described without the unique projects producer and showrunner Shonda Rhimes created. From medical dramas to historical features and legal procedurals – feels like there’s no genre and format that she and her team can’t turn into success.
Here I am about to share three shows from Shondaland I can’t stop talking about and recommend literally anyone who’s asking for advice (or not asking). Take a look!
1. 'Bridgerton' (2020-)
IMDb: 7.4/10
Rotten Tomatoes: 84% from critics, 74% from audience
Although set in Regency-era England, Bridgerton is a modern take on dating at the time. Each season of the series focuses on a particular Bridgerton sibling and their love life, from the first moment of a new romance blossoming to the logical end – the marriage.
Amazing soundtrack, complicated characters, secrets and hidden agendas – all of that makes the series a must watch for those who love a great historical romance. And the Lady Whistledown plotline just makes it so much more interesting.
2. 'How to Get Away with Murder' (2014-2020)
IMDb: 8.1/10
Rotten Tomatoes: 88% from critics, 85% from audience
If you love legal dramas with a thriller twist, then this series is going to be a perfect choice for you. Starring the one and only Viola Davis, the series follows law professor and defense attorney Annalise Keating and a group of her students navigate the many secrets they unravel right after meeting each other. The show has plenty of suspense, and I can also guarantee you will finish it with a playlist full of absolutely amazing songs by, for example, IAMX.
3. 'Grey's Anatomy' (2005-)
IMDb: 7.6/10
Rotten Tomatoes: 84% from critics, 72% from audience
Frankly speaking, it took me a while to start this acclaimed show. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago until I started the long-running (and probably most popular) medical drama. However, soon enough I realised that the series is a masterclass in writing and plot twists, giving the viewers so many characters and stories to analyze and reminisce about long after the credits roll.
With Meredith Grey as the titular character, the series follows a changing group of doctors and interns working at a hospital in Seattle as they balance their careers with their personal lives.
