Soon enough the fandom will start rioting.

Summary:

  • Snowpiercer was a TNT original drama series which abruptly ended due to the shutdown of all TNT’s original programming.
  • Although season 4 of the show is already complete, there is still no network ready to pick it up.
  • Still, Snowpiercer’s vet Mike O’Malley continues to believe there will be a day the audience gets to enjoy it.

If there was one show that has been unfairly cut, it's TNT's Snowpiercer. Falling victim to the studio's troubles, the show and its army of viewers were left hanging on an unsettled cliffhanger for nearly two years.

The unfortunate cancellation wouldn't have been so painful if fans didn't already know that the final season of the show, which is supposed to tie up all the loose ends and wrap up the journey, is not only already written, but completely filmed. For a whole year, since January 2023, fans have been patiently waiting for Snowpiercer to arrive, but to no avail.

Now that January 2024 has also passed, all hopes of seeing season 4 of the show on any of the TV networks or streaming platforms are beginning to fade.

Will Snowpiercer Season 4 Be Out In 2024?

Since season 1, Mike O'Malley has been on the show as a series regular, a former police officer and Wilford's security officer, Sam Roche. Behind the cameras, the actor has always posed himself as the biggest cheerleader for the story the cast and crew have been able to create.

Speaking to TVLine now, a full year after Snowpiercer's move from TNT was first announced, O'Malley continues to stay as positive as possible, teasing fans with almost spoiler-worthy material about what’s to come:

“Season 4 was probably the season where I had the most on-screen time. We get off the train, there’s incredible storytelling done by our showrunner Paul Zbyszewski, and the production designers on that show were unbelievable. They built this really amazing place called New Eden, and the visual effects [were great],” the actor said.

From what we know about Snowpiercer's fourth and final season, it's still in the process of being picked up by another network. However, with little to no updates about anyone acquiring it, the chances of it finally finding its final destination this year seem dangerously slim.

At this point, many feel that the team might as well just release raw footage to satisfy the viewers' craving to see the resolution of the story.

If you are one of the Snowpiercer fans eagerly waiting to find out how the journey ends, be sure to keep an eye out for all the news and behind-the-scenes updates to be the first one to learn the release date.
