Southern Charm season 12 starts November 12 — and opens on a love child whose father isn't named
The question hanging over the new season is not who is dating whom, though there is plenty of that. It is whose baby it is. And the man asking it out loud at a group dinner in Hawaii is the guy who co-created the show.
Bravo dropped the Southern Charm season 12 trailer on Monday, and the date is set: the season premieres Thursday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET, with episodes on Peacock the next day.
The trailer wastes no time. At a group dinner on the cast trip to Maui, Whitney Sudler-Smith, who co-created the show, calls out the elephant in the room:
"The assumption is that one of you has a love child."
Madison LeCroy wants to know if there is a picture. Newcomer Allie Newman, a friend of Venita Aspen's and a former flame of Austen Kroll's, offers to show the baby, per Us Weekly. Nobody in the two minutes names a father. Bravo's own logline promises "one of Charleston's most scandalous and well-kept secrets."

Who is back and who is new
- Returning: Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, Shep Rose, Madison LeCroy, Salley Carson, Venita Aspen, Molly O'Connell, Whitner Slagsvol and Rodrigo Reyes.
- New: Allie Newman, the season's one newcomer.
- Dropping in: Patricia Altschul, her son Whitney, Charley Manley and Taylor Ann Green.
- Watch: Bravo on Thursdays from November 12, right after Bravo Fan Fest, then Peacock.
A love triangle with extra corners
The baby is only the opener. Austen, 39, and Molly, 38, have been hanging out, and Salley, 31, his friend with benefits, does not take it well. When she pushes, Austen tells her it is none of her business, as People recapped.
Shep, meanwhile, gets a text "out of the blue" from ex Taylor Ann Green and meets her for drinks. His longtime friend is not impressed:
"This is delusional. You just told me you might marry Taylor, but you said you want to f*** every girl."
That friend is Craig, who per Bravo is "cautiously reentering a friendship" with Austen after their feud. Whitner fields interest from "multiple women in the group," Madison juggles two kids and a business, and Rodrigo stays "the glue." I would like it noted that the glue has never once been accused of anything.
As for the father: the season starts November 12, and the trailer is careful not to point at anyone.
