Could the Hollywood comedy megastar actually appear in the last season of the beloved Netflix show? Shawn Levy apparently thinks so.

'Strange Things' just unveiled its 4th season, breaking some huge streaming records in the process, and the hype level surrounding the show isn't about to go anywhere anytime soon. The Duffer Brothers have managed to capture zeitgeist with their teen mystery show, and millions of viewers are desperate to find out how Eleven's (Millie Bobby Brown ) story ends in the upcoming Season 5 finale. And while its production hasn't started yet, some potential casting calls are already underway.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, series producer and director of the Ryan Reynolds- led films 'Free Guy' and 'The Adam Project', Shawn Levy revealed his curious fancast for season five.

"I want to see a Ryan Reynolds cameo in anything. The truth is, my career over the past half-decade has been defined by Stranger Things and my collaborations with Ryan, so it would be deeply trippy but satisfying to see my two worlds collide. So, Ryan Reynolds, get ready for season five," Levy said.

Jokes aside, given Levi's close collaboration with the star, Reynolds just might decide to help his buddy by appearing in season five, but will fans like it? According to some fans on Twitter, absolutely not. They argue that Reynolds' participation would spoil the mood of the entire series and seriously damage the narrative.
