327 episodes are still not enough to solve all the mysteries.

Supernatural 's epic tale of two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, that follows the family business and fighting the supernatural things kept viewers hooked for 15 seasons straight. However, while the show wrapped up its story almost three years ago, some major plot points were left hanging.

Here are the show's six biggest unsolved mysteries that seem to have been dropped halfway through.

1. What Happened to Sam's Demonic Powers?

Sam's premonitions and his use of demon blood to enhance his powers were at the heart of Supernatural's early seasons. However, as the show evolved to include apocalyptic storylines, Sam's demon powers were explored less frequently, and this character underwent significant changes.

Sam's addiction to demon blood was eventually broken, but his dark powers were left unexplored in the later seasons, leaving fans curious about what became of them.

2. Is Ben Dean's Son?

One lingering question fans hoped to see resolved concerned the true origins of Ben Braeden, the son of Lisa Braeden, with whom Dean had a romantic relationship. While the show first hinted at a connection between Ben and Dean in season 3's The Kids Are Alright, it never really gave viewers a straight answer about whether Dean was his biological father.

Though Lisa denied Dean's suspicions in that same episode, she then, while possessed by a demon, seemingly confirmed that Ben was from Dean, but we never got the right answer or any kind of happy ending.

3. Did the Winchesters Shut the Gates of Hell?

In season 8, Sam and Dean embarked on a mission to close the Gates of Hell forever. And while Sam completed the first two trials, the final one, which consisted of curing a demon, was interrupted by Dean and never completed.

Dean justified his decision by claiming that they had enough knowledge to make a difference, but that promise ultimately went unfulfilled.

4. What Happened to the Antichrist?

Season 5 introduced viewers to the potential Antichrist, Jesse Turner, whose storyline could've become significant to the series. However, while he was a child with immense powers, his fate remained uncertain after he disappeared from the series as quickly as he was introduced.

This shift left Jesse Turner's fate unresolved, abandoned, and overshadowed by other storylines.

5. Where Were the Other Horsemen?

The introduction of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse gave the Winchesters a new set of intriguing characters to deal with. But while Death became a central figure, his brothers, Famine, Pestilence, and War, were not further explored.

It's still not clear why these powerful beings never pursued the Winchesters or sought revenge after Dean and Sam killed their brother and took their power rings.

6. Did Dean and Sam Meet Cas Again?

The season 15 episode Despair Left featured a powerful and emotional moment when Castiel sacrificed himself after confessing his love for Dean. The confession left viewers heartbroken, but the episode didn't provide closure for their relationship.

Fans were left wondering if Dean and Castiel ever had a reunion and a chance to finish their conversation. Although we know that Cas and Jack rebuilt Heaven, we didn't get a chance to see them all together again.
