The Big Bang Theory had 279 episodes, and one of the episodes of the 10th season was rated as the worst by the fans.

The Big Bang Theory is undoubtedly a legendary sitcom that has left its mark on pop culture forever. The show ran for 12 seasons, and while there were over 200 great episodes during that time, it was not without missteps that left fans unhappy.

The lowest rated episode on IMDb was The Cognition Regeneration from the tenth season – it's rating is only 6,7.

According to the plot, Sheldon is frustrated that he is losing at modern online games and falling behind in mastering new gadgets. To exercise his mind, he decides to do something he has never done before – like baking with Raj or learning magic tricks from Howard.

Meanwhile, Penny meets her ex-boyfriend Zack, who has become a successful businessman and invites Penny to work for him. But Leonard isn't convinced that working with an ex-boyfriend is a good choice.

In this episode, one of the invited guests returned to the series – Brian Thomas Smith, who played Zack, Penny's ex-boyfriend. The character was well received by fans, but even his appearance could not save the episode from its lowest rating.

Zack was only supposed to appear in one episode, but the positive response from viewers prompted the producers to make him a guest star in several episodes.

In addition, the show was supposed to have another arc involving Zack, which did not happen at Kaley Cuoco 's initiative – Zack had to donate his biological material so that Penny and Leonard could have a baby.

The storyline, which at first glance did not seem different from other episodes of The Big Bang Theory, turned out to be strange and just plain boring.

At this point, Penny has given up her dream of becoming an actress and is pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry, which she clearly does not like.

Also, Leonard and Penny are already married, and Leonard's unreasonable jealousy seems completely out of place, to which the scenes of jealousy from Zack's fiancée are later added.

While the episode was clearly not popular with viewers, it doesn't take away from the show's strengths, which shows that even the best series make mistakes, and that's okay.
