John Krasinski is married to stunning British actress Emily Blunt, so it's only natural that he flies to the UK quite often. The actor has had mostly pleasant interactions with the locals there, except for one customs guy.

You may be wondering why anyone could not absolutely love John Krasinski. He is literally one of the nicest celebrities around, right?

Well, he did one thing to offend the British – he starred in the American remake of the UK hit series, The Office.

In 2020, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt stopped by The Graham Norton Show to talk about their experiences filming 2018's A Quiet Place.

One thing led to another, and John shared a curious story about one of his trips to Britain. He was going through customs and came across a particularly grumpy officer.

The guy asked John if he was an actor. After receiving a positive answer, he inquired what he might have seen Krasinski in.

The actor humbly informed the customs guy that they did the American remake of the British The Office, and that was "strike one."

Come on, John, you should have known better than to go around bragging to Brits that America took something from them and made it better!

The guy immediately went, "I love that show, the UK version." That was obvious, but we still feel sorry for John! Then the officer asked Krasinski who he was visiting, to which he simply replied, "My wife."

The customs employee seemed quite interested in John's life and asked him if his wife was also an actress. Krasinski thought that he was making the situation better, but he was wrong.

After the guy learned that John was married to the one and only Emily Blunt, he was utterly shocked and disgusted. Strike two! In a rage, the officer quickly stamped John's passport and told him to "get out."

We get it. First, Krasinski "stole" the UK's masterpiece, and then, he dared to snatch another UK's beauty. Unforgivable!

Anyway, this is the story of how John Krasinski was humbled real quick. Even Hollywood superstars need to be brought back down to earth from time to time!
