'The Andor invasion continues': Slow Horses season 7 adds another Star Wars favorite
Apple's spy drama announced five new cast members today, and one name made two fandoms overlap again.
The name is Varada Sethu. Apple announced the Slow Horses season 7 cast on October 19, and Deadline's writeup lists five additions: Sethu — Cinta Kaz in Andor, and most recently a Doctor Who companion — alongside Tuppence Middleton (Mank), Ethan Moorhouse (MobLand), Merab Ninidze (Homeland), and Joshua McGuire (The Gold).
For Andor fans the pattern was instant, because this is the second hire in two seasons. Season 6, airing right now, cast Kyle Soller — Syril Karn himself — as one of the assassins picking off former Slough House members. The reaction in the season 7 thread treated Sethu's casting less like news and more like a progress report:

And the requests are already in for the next wave:
"They need to bring Denise Gough and Elizabeth Dulau over too!"

Why this pipeline makes sense
The migration isn't random. Andor ended its run in May 2025, which freed an ensemble of British and Irish actors that every casting director in the industry had just spent two seasons admiring. And the two shows are secret siblings: Andor was the Star Wars series about security-service bureaucrats, office rivalries, and institutional rot, which is a one-line description of Slow Horses with the Empire swapped for MI5.

Season 7 gives the newcomers a fittingly paranoid playground. It adapts Bad Actors, Mick Herron's novel about the hunt for a mole inside the British government, with Gary Oldman's Jackson Lamb leading the returning regulars — Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, and James Callis's Claude Whelan among them, with Ben Vanstone adapting and Robert McKillop directing.
Andor wrapped in May 2025. Within eighteen months, Slough House had hired its most dogged Imperial investigator and one of its rebel spies.
For Andor fans, this is now the most reliable place to see the cast again: Disney has no further seasons, so Apple's spy shop is where the ensemble reassembles, two actors at a time. My bet for the next crossover is Gough — a fandom that spent two years calling Dedra Meero the best villain on television deserves to see her audit Lamb's expense reports.
