Things ended on a major cliffhanger in The Bear’s season 4 — or maybe not? Here’s what might be happening with Hulu’s hit series after that big change in the brand new instalment.

The Bear’s fans have spent the entire year waiting to see Carmy’s new haute cuisine restaurant called, well, The Bear flourishing with glorious reviews — in reality, things turned out quite differently.

The brand new fourth season, released entirely on June 25, revealed some shocking truth that Jeremy Allen White’s character most likely has been keeping to himself for a while now.

Considering that, The Bear’s future might not be so definite at the moment, but the show has been renewed for season 5 on Wednesday, July 2, which means we'll definitely see Carmy return.

We’re breaking down what are the possibilities for the show to continue with a fifth season.

The show’s new episodes did feel like a double tension now that Carmy and co have spent the entire season trying to get a Michelin star for their restaurant.

The time was running out, but things weren’t moving forward much, which also caused some confrontation between Carmy and the rest of the team since the former was definitely paying more attention to something else.

All of this suddenly made sense in the fourth season’s finale where Carmy admits to Sydney, Cousin Richie and Natalie that he has grown sick and tired of cooking, now never able to find the joy in it that he used to have, and for this reason was thinking about giving his ownership of the restaurant over to the three of them.

Will ‘The Bear’ Continue After Season 4?

The Bear fans have already voiced their concerns about the declining quality of the show, with some even believing that season 4 needed to be the last one.

In fact, even the network executives believe that one great season is better than several not-so-good ones.

“And so it’s really Chris [Storer’s] decision on “The Bear.” It’s about, how much more story does he have to tell? I mean, obviously, I’m hoping he has more than one more season of story to tell. But not to the extent that if there was one great season or three mediocre ones, I’d rather have one great one. You just have to follow the creative”, FX’s boss John Landgraf revealed in an interview with Variety last year.
