The iconic NBC crime thriller that kept the fans on the edge of their seats for 10 years finally came to its end in July. The captivating series about a former top-criminal who turned against his colleagues and became the best ever FBI informant is something the TV industry has never seen before.

The lead role of Red Reddington in the show went to James Spader, and frankly, there's no way any other actor could have played the role of a criminal minded genius better than him.

For ten long seasons, the show went on and on, showing us how his mind worked and introducing the fans to the overwhelming stories.

For ten seasons, he sliced and diced his enemies and made a statement with every action. The crime drama ended up being an absolute favorite among viewers all over the world.

Some of the fans weren’t happy with the way things ended for Red. They say that having a person like him ending his life in such a ridiculous way was a waste.

“The end of the show is a complete mess, what about a retirement, a quiet life in the suburban watching Agnes, or death by a disease with his fellows by his side. The death alone in the middle of nowhere with his body mutilated like this is a complete shame and disrespect,” Redditor linazor said.

However, there's a bigger part of the fandom that thinks that the death he chose was the only way to let him go by his own rules, and not be killed by anyone else.
