While browsing Reddit, I stumbled across a thread where Wednesday fans were sharing the scenes that hit them hardest. And I have to admit, I agreed with more than a few of them.

The Scorpion Scene

For many, the clear winner was the flashback to Wednesday’s beloved scorpion, Nero, being killed by bullies.

User BabyFirefly admitted, "The flashback to those nasty shitbag kids crushing Wednesday’s scorpion right in front of her makes me upset every time."

Others echoed the sentiment.

KGB_of_the_USSR wrote, "I got teary when Thing was stabbed and thought he wasn't gonna make it. For Wednesday though, I think it’s when she had flashbacks of the bullies crushing Nero and Wednesday was unable to help."

Thing in Danger

Another fan favorite character, Thing, had his own moment of heartbreak. User RavenNevermore1313 ranked it high on their personal list:

Meanwhile, Ill_Guest_2423 pointed to the flashback of Kragstone burning people alive in a barn, describing it as the scene that always unsettled them the most: "That’s the one that gets me every time."

So maybe it’s not the monsters that haunt us most in Wednesday, but the moments of human cruelty. Either way, these are the scenes I’ll probably never rewatch — and I’m clearly not alone.
