And it's hard to argue with that.

The Pitt sends viewers on a 15-hour shift at a regular trauma hospital in Pittsburgh. The series is harsh and consistent in its realism – it is not so much interested in the dramatic twists and turns of doctors, as, for example, Grey's Anatomy, but in the mechanics of the work itself.

We see a young athlete who has fainted and needs to be resuscitated. An elderly man with dementia is about to be put on a respirator, but first the children have to be told that this will only prolong the dying man's suffering.

In such extreme stories, the characters are revealed without much focus on personal drama.

Doctors make risky decisions, discuss treatment plans with colleagues, and snap at each other because of great responsibility and a nervous environment – and these small details create bright portraits of each character.

The Pitt Fans Picked the Most Annoying Character

And one of these portraits does nothing but irritate the viewer. If you have already watched all four episodes released so far and managed to get to know the local doctors better, then you have probably guessed who we are talking about. Yes, Trinity Santos.

“She's arrogant and self centered, she was only mildly nice to Javadi because she wanted to use her "friendship" to get something she wanted.”

Trinity is by far the most annoying character on the show, but viewers familiar with working in a medical setting admit they recognize some of their colleagues in her.

Redditor callsignjaguar noted:

“As someone who works in medicine, her character type and personality is pretty spot on lol. Many med students/residents/interns, especially those in emergency or surgical fields, are pretty egotistical.”

Well, we can only praise the writers for creating such an accurate character that turned out to be familiar to such a large number of viewers.

Trinity's Behavior Is Unlikely to Change Until the End of the First Season

What worries viewers most about Trinity is that we probably won't see her redemption arc this season – she almost killed a patient because of her arrogance.

Unlike typical projects, The Pitt is a series that shows events in "real time" and focuses more on action than drama. There is no hope that Trinity will realize her mistakes during one day at the hospital, which we will eventually see in 15 episodes.

Many fans suspect that the writers have prepared a reckoning for Santos for her arrogance in the finale – perhaps she will be the one to cause the death of a patient and have to deal with the consequences of her decisions next season.
