The White Lotus Season 3 Finale Just Got Runtime Update & It’s Big
Mike White’s hit show is about to receive its longest conclusion yet.
A series of major revelations is about to uncover the biggest mysteries of The White Lotus ’ season 3, and they might need a little bit more time than usual.
The current instalment’s approaching finale set to air this weekend will likely become the most intriguing wrap-up in the show’s entire history, so far having lots of questions unanswered and plenty of characters hanging by a thread from possible gruesome death.
This might be the reason why the third season’s final episode now promises to be epic, even compared to the previous instalment’s conclusion that featured the heartbreaking death of Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya; the recent update about the upcoming finale’s runtime is likely one more confirmation of that.
Season 3 Final Episode Will Be the Longest in The White Lotus’ History
Apparently, Mike White’s hit drama is about to give its audiences a satisfying finale as, according to Variety, the last episode titled Amor Fati will have an extensive run of 90 minutes; to compare, season 2’s conclusion ran 78 minutes when released back in 2023.
The update, however, is exciting news for the show’s fans who still have pretty much nothing figured out about the outcome of the season’s previous events.
That said, The White Lotus is yet to reveal the gunshot mystery at the beginning of episode 1; the consequences of Timothy’s intrusive thoughts about suicide and, well, murder of his entire family; Belinda’s fate now that she refused to take money from Greg; Gaitok’s next steps after realising the jewellery shop robbery was conducted by the Russians; and, finally, Greg’s real intentions towards Saxon after the former finds out his girlfriend Chloe spent a night with the latter.
The White Lotus Will Return With Season 4
Ahead of its approaching finale on Sunday, Mike White’s feverish drama has once again proved itself as HBO’s major hit for years to come as the show was recently renewed for a fourth season.
So far the plot details of the next instalment remain under wraps, but some previous rumours suggested The White Lotus would return to Europe after spending the latest vacation with the exotic Asian background.
While there’s no exact indication to talk about, the same rumours also hinted at Mike White opting for another warm place like Sicily instead of snowy landscapes, despite many fans urging the series’ creator to bring a new set of characters to a luxurious ski resort somewhere in Norway.
The White Lotus’ season 4 is now expected to be released sometime in 2027; the current season’s finale is airing on Max on April 6.
