Just several more days are left until The White Lotus’ third season arrives on Max with its first episode, and the highly anticipated show is now an even more tempting watch after a major update in its critical score.
Created by Mike White, the hit drama has been around ever since 2021 and captivated everyone’s attention thanks to a mystery-packed plot line which differs with every new season and compelling characters that remain many fans’ forever favorites, even when they’re already written off the show.
Having already won big with its first two installments, including 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, The White Lotus is now an even stronger contender for the next awards season.
The White Lotus Season 3 Has an Impressive RT Score From Critics
Ahead of the first episode’s premiere on February 16, the brand new season kicked it off with universal acclaim from critics, so far landing a score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Not even having reached the wider audience yet, The White Lotus’ season 3 is already performing better than season 1 with 90% and a bit worse than season 2 with 94%; however, the number is still likely to change as of now the rating is based on only 45 reviews, and much more critics will probably drop their own sayings in the upcoming several days.
The audience score isn’t available yet and will likely show its first reviews this Sunday, though, considering how well The White Lotus’ seasons 1 and 2 played out with viewers, there’s no much doubt about the new instalment’s future success.
Despite Fears, The White Lotus Is Doing Just Fine Without Jennifer Coolidge
At least that’s what the critical score might have just confirmed, and many fans now can give up on their concerns about the show not being worthy after Jennifer Coolidge’s departure from it.
In the series, the actress portrayed Tanya McQuoid and quickly stole the show in two seasons straight, becoming the viewers’ favorite and eventually breaking their hearts when she was killed off in the second season’s extremely dramatic finale.
Coolidge’s appearance on the show was iconic in all senses, with the actress becoming The White Lotus’ calling card and the show itself reviving Coolidge’s career. Throughout the years, Tanya was so synonymous with The White Lotus that many had a reasonable fear about the series not being the same anymore, yet so far things are looking quite good for The White Lotus’ future without its feature character.
