The first episode of the Supernatural prequel was released on October 11 and has already managed to win the love of loyal fans of the Winchester family.

The show once again is telling a story of the Winchesters ', but with a twist: there are new villains now, and, supporting John and Mary in their quest to save the world from monsters, new allies.

The showrunners expanded the Winchesters family story by introducing a couple of original characters that seem to be a perfect addition to the Supernatural universe.

Nida Khurshid appears as a librarian named Lakita, an inexhaustible source of knowledge and a walking encyclopedia of all things supernatural that hunters can turn to when needed. Bianca Kajlich plays Sam and Dean's future grandmother, Millie Winchester, John's mother. Having lost her husband, Millie has to work hard and take care of her son.

But the ultimate "comfort character" of the show is the new original character named Carlos Cervantez, portrayed by Jojo Flates. Carlos is a born hunter who has a gut instinct for all sorts of unusual things and is great at fighting anything that can be dangerous. An extremely charismatic hunter with a great sense of humor and ability to turn every situation into the greatest adventure has already been titled as the "soul" of the group.

The story of Carlos becoming a hunter is quite tragic – he had to start fighting the evil when his parent got killed by a ghoul. But what The Winchesters' fans love about this character is that he hasn't given up after his personal life-changing tragedy – he did quite the opposite, turning all of his anger and frustration into something positive.

Is There a Nod to Castiel in The Winchesters' Pilot Episode?

Carlos became a great hunter and managed to keep his pure soul and big heart. How can you resist loving him? You can't! And the members of the SPN fandom can't agree more. Twitter has literally exploded with the comments about Carlos after the first episode has been released. Some of the fans have already started comparing him to another beloved original character, Stranger Things ' Eddie Munson. But, knowing Eddie's fate, The Winchesters fandom made it clear that they won't let anything happen to Carlos.

Well, The CW, beware: having such a big fanbase already, this character might require his own spinoff eventually.
