Although this is her first time in the Star Wars franchise, Ariana Greenblatt has already had some pretty memorable big screen appearances.

The latest episode of the Ahsoka TV series gave Star Wars fans more than they could have hoped for, providing not only a heartfelt reunion of the titular Jedi with her former master, Anakin Skywalker, but also a whole new perspective on the events of The Clone Wars series.

Anakin guided Ahsoka, now appearing as her former younger self, through her past battles to teach her some important lessons and finally complete her training, which she had stopped all those years ago.

Fans were quite impressed with Ariana Greenblatt's performance as the young version of Ahsoka, as she managed to convey the character's struggles and fears perfectly.

She brought a new and rather dark look to the events of The Clone Wars series, as with the bright animated style of the show, it was easy to forget that Ahsoka was just a child fighting in a war during the earlier seasons.

However, even though it was the actress' first appearance in the Star Wars franchise, many felt that she looked somewhat familiar, even with all the makeup, but they couldn't pinpoint where they saw her.

Despite being only 16 years old, Greenblatt has already appeared in an impressive number of live-action and animated projects, including voicing Tabitha Templeton in The Boss Baby: Family Business and playing a young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War.

But perhaps the most obvious reason why many fans recognized her is because just prior to her appearance in the Ahsoka TV series, Ariana starred in the biggest and most successful movie of 2023, Barbie.

There she portrayed Sasha, the daughter of Mattel employee Gloria, played by America Ferrera, and fiercely criticized the all-pink world from which Margot Robbie 's titular doll came, accusing her of playing into stereotypes about women.

The next step in the actress' career will be the role of Tiny Tina, a young girl with an explosive (sometimes literally) personality, in Borderlands, an adaptation of the video game of the same name, scheduled for release on August 9, 2024.

Episode 6 of the Ahsoka TV series will be released on September 19, 2023.
