Have you spot it?

'I Am Groot ' does not necessarily demand its viewers to boast vast knowledge of the MCU canon or the adventures of the Guardians of the Galaxy in particular. However, those who do have such knowledge will enjoy a couple of Easter eggs here and there.

Here's one of them: it turns out that Groot has inherited a certain something from Peter Quill, better known as Starlord, and this is the loveliest detail ever.

In episode 4, titled 'Groot Takes a Bath', the little wooden hero shows off his backpack, and those who watched Starlord's journey carefully can surely notice just how similar they look.

Fans ruled that this is the very same backpack Peter Quill had in the first 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movie. "Of course Starlord passed down his backpack to his little wooden son," people said, going into full "aww" mode.

In 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Volume 1, we got a glimpse into Peter Quill's childhood. Aside from the now-iconic backpack, Quill also loved music more than everything, boasting a number of his own playlists.

'I Am Groot' is a series of short episodes about young Groot – supposedly the son of the older Groot who accompanied the Guardians of the Galaxy in their journeys across the universe and died in the Infinity Saga, with Rocket managing to "rebirth" him using one of his branches.

The short series is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
