There’s At Least 1 Storyline That Confirms The White Lotus Has Been Lying to Us All Along

Now fans have all the reasons to doubt that Mike White’s hit show is an anthology series after all.
HBO’s The White Lotus has been one of the most successful shows on modern TV ever since its first season hit the small screens back in 2021; written and directed by Mike White, the series has so far offered its fans three different stories, unfolding in Hawaii, Sicily and now Thailand at a luxurious resort called The White Lotus.
Despite following pretty much the same premise of something really gruesome happening to rich people while on vacation at the resort, The White Lotus put different sets of characters in similar circumstances with every new season.
The latest one, however, came as one more proof that the show’s stories aren’t that different after all.
The White Lotus Isn’t an Anthology Series, Though It Pretends to Be
Even with its events set to happen in different places and with different people, The White Lotus’ all three seasons don’t fit into the anthology format, and there’s at least one storyline that proves it like nothing else.
Having introduced new characters in its third season, the show also brought back two familiar faces from previous seasons, with them being Belinda from season 1 and Greg from seasons 1 and 2.
In one of the latest instalment’s episodes, Belinda is the one who decides to dig into Greg’s past, convinced that she’s seen him with his wife Tanya, in seasons 1 and 2 portrayed by Jennifer Coolidge, and something bad might have happened to her, considering that Greg isn’t hiding the fact that he’s in a new relationship.
Even with all the other characters not crossing each other’s paths throughout all the three seasons, Tanya is the only character who directly connects The White Lotus’ three instalments, and it might be hard for those who just joined the show with its new third season to grasp the whole idea.
Belinda Might Become the Victim in Season 3
Despite The White Lotus’ new season having already introduced enough issues between its characters for them to result into a tragedy, so far it’s spa worker Belinda’s storyline that looks most likely to end up like this.
In one of the latest episodes, she embarks on her own investigation of what exactly happened to Tanya and what Greg has to do with it; since Belinda has already made an attempt to talk to Greg, the latter will now have a clear understanding of what Belinda might be up to.
Additionally, her storyline gets even more emotionally vulnerable since she’s seen waiting for her son’s arrival in Thailand; Belinda’s possible death will thus take an even more high-scale tragic turn.
